How the Transfers Work
Pickup is from your hotel lobby or a nearby meeting point, typically between 7:00 and 9:00 AM for morning departures. The driver collects you in a minibus, private car, or shared shuttle (depending on the package and operator). Pickup is available from hotels across Bali’s main tourist areas — Kuta, Seminyak, Legian, Canggu, Sanur, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, and Ubud.
The drive to the river takes approximately 30 minutes from Ubud, 1–1.5 hours from Kuta/Seminyak/Canggu, or 1.5–2 hours from Nusa Dua/Jimbaran. The drive from southern Bali passes through Bali’s central rice terrace landscape — the scenery on the drive is part of the experience.
Return transport follows the same route after the rafting and lunch. You are returned to your hotel by early to mid-afternoon (typically 1:00–3:00 PM depending on your hotel location).
Why Transfers Matter
Bali’s traffic is unpredictable. The roads between southern Bali and Ubud can be heavily congested, particularly during morning and evening peak hours. An experienced driver who knows the routes and the timing takes the stress out of the journey.
You will be tired after the rafting. After 2 hours of paddling and 400+ steps in tropical heat, the last thing you want is to navigate Bali traffic. Having a driver waiting to take you directly to your hotel is a comfort worth paying for.
